LOP 83 Foileye Head

Foileye Head The lookout post no.83 was built in a later period than the other posts of the 2ww coast watching service. That explains that this post became belated the registration number 83. The earlier built lookout posts got the clockwise registration numbering around Irelands shore. From that additional point the complete Dingle bay could got a better observation by the coast watchers. Their logbooks are open for public today and can be seen on the website militaryarchives.ie. The light work here was leaned to an old chewing gum machine. It was a spontaneous enticement to make this adaption in memory of the childhood.
