Glengad Head The lookout post no.73 is located on a hilltop close to Glentoskert. Today the lookout in painted in white and the massive chimney is still on the roof. In 500 meters westward from the lookout post the Eire sign can be found in the ground. The signs was helpful for the navigation of the allied aircrafts during the ww2. The light projection at this post was made in honor to the singer and songwriter Shane MacGowan. His handmade sketches and handwritten lyrics from the “Donegal Express” published in his Book “A drink with Shane MacGowan” was adapted to the building. In the background the lights from the shore of Northern Ireland are visible.
