Melmore Head To observe the northern shore of Donegal without a gap the lookout post no.78 was placed on a hill at the Melmore headland. Mostly local people observed as coast watcher the shore during the emergency. Today the post can be found follow the walking path up from Gortnalughoe camping place up to the hill. Half a mile northerly in front of the post a restored Eire sing can be found in the plain green. The light projection here based on self designed pattern with the result to defamiliarise the appearance to an unreal perception.
