LOP 70 St.John's Point

St.Johns Point Follow the road to the end of St. John´s Point tha lookout post no.70 can be found on a hilltop close to the lighthouse. In front of the lighthouse an Eire sign landmark was recently restored. The Eire landmarks was a helpful for navigations of aircrafts during the ww2. From this lookout post the coast watcher of the 2ww coast watching service observed the northern part of the Donegal bay. They watched out for military activity by the air and by the sea with monocular telescopes. This gave the inspiration to design an eye in neutral blue color within a pattern of abstract convex lens forms.
