Blacksod Bay The lookout post was situated southward on the Bellmulet island close to Backsode. Today only fragments of the side walls remains to the lookout post no. 60. From the Blacksode lighthouse the lighthouse keeper Ted Sweeney reported 1944 the weather forecast for the planned D-Day landing in the Normandy. Sweeney was also in function of a non-commissioned officer for the local cost watcher from the 2ww coast watching service. The light projection here based on original photos of the coast watcher. The photographs and the ruin were overworked before with a graphic illustration filter. The result was the effect of an illustrated situation of the coast watchers on duty.
