LOP 44 Kilcreadun Point

Kilcreadun Point Northward of the Mouth of Shannon the lookout post no.44 is situated close to the Kilcreadun lighthouse. A historic photo shows the coast watcher un duty and the post with the telephone wire mast. The lookouts were connected by telephone during the ww2. In fact of this connection the Defence Forces was able to create a motion profile of marina and airspace activities over longer distances. During the twilight the shrubbery boundary of the filed reminded to a trench of battle fields. In leaning of this impression the light work was designed by a collage of soldiers, a stone sculpture and a drawing.
