Leck Head The lookout post No. 43 is located north of Ballybunnion behind a farm in Bromore West. When inspected as part of this project in 2011, the lookout post was found destroyed on the ground. The concrete blocks appeared to be intact, and the structural design was recognisable. Today, the lookout post has been reconstructed in detail and is open to visitors.
From this point, coastwatchers observed the coast during the Second World War. They wrote daily reports in their logbooks, which are now publicly available on the Irish Defence Forces website militaryarchives.ie.
