Brandon Point The lookout post no.40 is situated close to Brandon Point in short walking distance from the car park. From here it was possible to observe the mouth of the Brandon Bay. Local coast watcher from Brandon and the surrounding era observed the shore in tree shifts of eight hours per day. Their logbooks can be seen today at the Irish Defence Forces web page militaryarchives.ie. The implementation of this light work based on fragments of a cliff painting by the local artist Michael Flaherty and graffiti elements of the lookout post. Both contrarian paintings where combined and adapted to this lookout post during the down.
