LOP 30 Mizen Head

Mizen Head The headland is the most southwestern point of Ireland. A lighthouse and a signal fog horn from 1905 is also located at the peak of Mizen Head. The headland is important for the marina navigations around that shore. The lookout post no.30 is situated close to the ruin of a Napoleonic signal tower and can be found in northerly direction from the Mizen Head visitor center. At this light projection a self made colorful pattern stand in contrast to selected drawings by Gustave Dore. The drawings inside based to the story of Noah´s Ark and refers the significance role of mizzen head for the marina navigation.
