Old Head The post was located at the Old Head of Kinsale. Today nothing remains to the lookout post no.25. In 1990 a golf club was opened on that headland. Probably the building was destroyed in during the construction of the golf course. On photography from 1950 let suppose that the lookout was situated close to the club house today. The old photography shows also that the wall around the light house was more extended like today. From here the coast watcher had a good view over the sea. Log books published by the Defence Forces allows insights of the coast watchers observations. Every activity in the sea and at the air was recorded from 1940 to 1945 in this log books. www.militaryarchives.ie
