Power Head At the eastern side of the bay leading to Cobh Harbour, lookout post No. 23 is located at the end of the headland called Power Head. Today, the building stands in a private garden. In the past, measuring cables for a scientific experiment conducted by the marina were installed in the building. The building no longer serves any purpose today. The mast that connected the lookout posts during the Second World War with a telephone line is still located behind the post.
The light projection at this lookout post was inspired by a drawing by Harry Clarke. The drawing from Edgar Allen Poe's ‘Tales of Mystery and Imagination’ was selected for the light projection at this post.
