Knockadoon Next to the 19th century Knockadoon signal tower the lookout post no. 21 is located on the headland between the Youghal Bay and Ballyconnton Bay. In less than seven miles distance Ram Head and Ballycotton are situated in visible distance from this place. The intention at this light work was to effectuate a black coloring in the light projection. There for the inside walls of the lookout was softly lighten up by the projector light that made the original concrete structure viewable. In the background Caple Island with a 19thcentury lighthouse on the hilltop is visible.
