LOP 17 Brownstone Head

Brownstown Head The lookout post is located between two Napoleonic signal towers near Brownstone in county Waterford. The headland got the name from brown colored cliffs Some names are scribed inside the post at the concrete wall. Probably this are names are those from coast watchers which observed the shore during the emergency. Some mixed pattern was adapted on the building structure at this light protection. The colors of this self generated pattern reflecting the brown cliffs and the dark blue of the twilight sky on that evening. In the background of the photography the lighthouse from Hook Head is visible.
