Wicklow Head
At the easternmost point of the Republic of Ireland, lookout post no. 9 is located between lighthouses from the 18th and 19th centuries. Today the building is used for a marine radio service for the Irish Sea. The building with the transmitters is fenced off and not accessible to the public. The position of the Eire Sign was determined on the basis of historical photographs. A simulation shows the former position in front of the 18th century lighthouse.
