LOP 50 Kilronan & Eire Sign

Kilronan

At the highest point of Inishmore Island stands Eochaill Lighthouse, which served as lookout post No. 50 during the Second World War. The lighthouse is no longer in operation. This site also features an 18th-century Napoleonic watchtower.
The associated Eire sign  is located 200 metres south of the former lighthouse and has recently been restored. Another Eire sign is located approximately 8 kilometres further west at the western end of Inishmore.
