Black Head
This lookout post No. 48 was probably located right next to the Black Head lighthouse in the Burren area of County Clare. Today, parts of a concrete fundament of the lookout may still be preserved.
Half a mile north-west towards Murroughkelly is the associated Eire sign. It is located above the R477 regional road. This ground marker was built from Burren limestone.
