Kilcreadun Point
At the northern estuary of the Shannon near the Kilcreadun lighthouse stands lookout post No. 44. It is situated between Rinevella Bay and Carrigahold Bay.
The associated Eire sign is located 250 metres north-west of the lookout post. The ground markings have mostly been washed away, but individual letters can still be seen from the air. The exact position can be determined using a historical aerial photograph. This enables the creation of an image simulation that shows the position of the ground markings today.
