Kilcreadun Point
At the northern estuary of the Shannon near the Kilcreadun lighthouse stands lookout post No. 44. An old photograph shows the coastguard on duty and the post with the telephone wire mast. The associated Eire sign is located under a grass cover 100m west of the lighthouse. Although these have been partially washed away, the structure can still be clearly seen today.
