LOP 39 Sybil Head

Sybil Head

On this headland on the west coast of the Dingle Peninsula, an existing signal tower was used by the coast watchers as lookout post No. 39 during the Second World War. The tower is located near Ballyoughteragh North on a 200-metre-high hill directly on the coast. The position of the associated EIRE sign can no longer be determined. It was in all probably located below the building in an open field.
