Seven Heads
The lookout post No. 26 is located on the west coast of Cork on the Seven Heads peninsula. The name is derived from the seven fingers of the peninsula stretching into the sea. This is directly in front of a lookout post built by the English during the First World War. A signal tower from the 19th century indicates that this area was a popular place for coastal observation. The associated Eire Sign can no longer be localised today.
