Brownstown Head
The lookout post No. 17 is located on a headland between two Napoleonic signal towers near Brownstone in County Waterford. The headland got its name from the brown cliffs. The Eire sign was located 100 metres north of the signal tower on the right, on what is now a cultivated field.
A historical aerial photograph shows the former position of the. Based on this, a simulation could be created of where the Eire was once located .Today, there are no remains of the ground marking.
